Dianthus 'Georgia Peach Pie', Carnation

Family: Caryophyllaceae | Origin: Horticultural hybrid

We are crazy about special and little known plants, especially those that diversify our garden and life (and also attract collector customers to the nursery).

And what is better than a small plant with fragrant flowers, which can be planted even in the smallest garden as well as in a pot on the balcony in full sun?

Such is our Georgia Peach Pie carnation.

It creates a small mat 15 cm high and 30 cm in diameter of elongated and narrow bluish leaves, from which in the spring come masses of relatively large, painted and fragrant peach-colored flowers.

This is the main flowering wave, and later in summer and autumn, the plant sometimes flower sporadically.

Dianthus 'Georgia Peach Pie' is well suited for containers, rockeries and flower beds rich in organic matter and grows well in full or partial sun and with regular watering.

The flowering stems are tall relative to the size of the plant and at the end of a flowering wave, they continue to produce some new buds at their tips- so do not be hasty to cut them down.

This is a new horticultural variety, which looks very spectacular in its bloom. Apparently it is worth replacing the plant once every 3-4 years to get optimal flowering.
